Christmas

I tried a catchy title, but really, this post is all about Christmas, so it made the most sense to title it that way. I'm planning to post these same pictures on facebook, with probably more there than here, since this takes longer. Therefore, if you plan to go to facebook, I guess you could just skip this post. I do, however, tend to be much more clever in my comments here, so if you would like a sampling of cleverness, stick around. Christmas was great this year. We spent some time at G&GL's in our hometown, and then to the mountains for Christmas with GB & GL. Our girls spent as much time as they could outside sledding (Missy Mae has the scars to prove it...) and we spent as much time as we could eating everything we could shove in our mouths. It was relaxing, lazy, and exactly what our whole family needed. Now that we're back, with a few days to go before school starts again, we are enjoying the games and toys that Santa brought, and staying in our pj's as much as possible. When we decided to go away for Christmas this year, the thought of it at first made me extremely stressed out. More to pack, more to think about, more to tote around... But I am so glad that we went, not only so that we could have a break, but so our kids could spend time with family and remember some of those great Christmas traditions that we would have still tried to do, but maybe not with quite as much zest as if we were with family. This is a Lightning McQueen blanket that Tony P. absolutely loves. His entire Christmas was Disney cars, so the blanket was a perfect start.
